ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

To assist family successes through excellence in comprehensive early education and development services.

About CCA:  As the largest child development nonprofit organization in North Texas, Child Care Associates (CCA) prides itself on being on the vanguard of the early learning field. CCA has served over 545,000 vulnerable young children and their families since its establishment in 1968. Regional support for young children has increased over the past 5 years, creating an opportunity to propel CCA’s services and the early learning system to new levels of impact and quality. CCA has been a trusted community partner for the last 48 years, working at the forefront of quality early childhood care and education. CCA serves approximately 17,000 young children per year and has an annual budget in excess of $70 million.

Child Care Management Services (CCMS) is CCA’s largest program, serving over 11,000 children annually, offering state-funded childcare and acting as a liaison among parents, providers and the State of Texas. In addition, CCA operates 34 dedicated Early Head Start classrooms, serving approximately 300 children, and 114 Head Start classrooms in high poverty neighborhoods and local elementary schools, serving about 2,000 children. CCA also supports kindergarten readiness and educational alignment to offer Pre-kindergarten programs in partnership with many Independent School Districts (ISDs) and Uplift Charter School classrooms.

CCA oversees several other programs and special initiatives in this region, all focused on early childhood development. Because of its longevity, size, and history of achievement, CCA has the potential to become a model for the early learning field at the local, state, and national level.

Quality of Early Education & Care

Most of a child’s brain development is complete by three years old, which means that education begins long before a child enters kindergarten. For that reason, it’s imperative that child care provides more than “babysitting” and screentime.
